Halal Rolled Sirloin for Two persons

Serves: 2
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes to 1 hour (depending on your preferred level of doneness)

Ingredients :

  • 300-400g Halal sirloin steak
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • String or butcher’s twine for tying

Instructions :

  1. Prepare the Sirloin: If not already, butterfly the sirloin to open it like a book for rolling.
  2. Season: Rub inside with olive oil, then season with garlic, salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
  3. Roll and Tie: Roll the sirloin up tightly and tie with string to secure.
  4. Sear: Brown all sides in a hot skillet, then transfer to the oven.
  5. Roast: Cook in a preheated oven at 175°C until it reaches your preferred doneness.
  6. Rest and Serve: Let it rest before slicing and serve, perhaps with a side of your choosing.
