Ordering from My Meat Shop
How do I place an order?
Browse the website, choose the products you need, select the available options or sizes, add them to your basket and continue to checkout. At checkout, you can enter your delivery details, review your order and complete payment securely.
Can I leave preparation notes with my order?
Yes. Where possible, you can leave a note at checkout with practical preparation requests, such as keeping a joint whole, cutting a product into portions or adding a simple instruction for the butcher. We will do our best to follow practical notes, depending on the product and preparation limits.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Contact us as quickly as possible if you need help with an order you have just placed. Once an order has entered preparation, packing or dispatch, changes may no longer be possible. For urgent support, call 020 3576 3701.
What information should I include when contacting you about an order?

Delivery Questions
Where do you deliver?
My Meat Shop delivers across the UK. Delivery options, charges and availability are shown during checkout once your postcode and delivery details are entered.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery is typically 24–48 hours from dispatch. Once your order is prepared and handed to the delivery network, tracking information is provided so you can follow the parcel.
Do you deliver chilled meat safely?
Yes. Chilled products are packed using insulated packaging and ice packs to help protect the order during transit. The aim is to keep products protected through the delivery journey so they arrive ready to be placed in the fridge or freezer.
What happens if I miss my delivery?
Please follow the delivery tracking and courier instructions carefully. Because chilled food is time-sensitive, it is important that someone is available to receive the parcel or that safe delivery instructions are followed where available.
How much is delivery?
Delivery fees and any available delivery offers are shown at checkout. This allows you to see the correct delivery cost before completing your order.
Packaging, Freshness & Storage
How is my order packed?
Products are packed carefully for chilled delivery. Where suitable, meat may be vacuum-packed or sealed, then placed into insulated packaging with ice packs to help maintain freshness during transport.
What should I do when my parcel arrives?
Open your parcel as soon as possible, check the contents and place chilled products straight into the fridge. Always follow the product label, storage guidance and use-by date shown on the pack.
Can I freeze the meat?
Yes, suitable meat products can be frozen for longer storage. For best results, freeze products as soon as possible after delivery, keep them sealed properly and defrost safely before cooking.
How should I defrost meat safely?
Defrost meat slowly in the fridge, not at room temperature. Keep it covered, place it on a tray or plate to avoid drips, and cook it thoroughly once defrosted. Do not refreeze meat after it has fully defrosted unless it has been cooked first.
Can packaging look different from product to product?
Yes. Packaging may vary depending on the product type, portion, preparation method and supplier format. The priority is always to protect freshness, hygiene and safe handling.
