Halal Mega Beef Burger Recipe
Serves: 2
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 500g Halal beef mince (20% fat for juiciness)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 slices of Halal beef bacon (optional)
- 4 slices of Halal cheese (ensure it’s Halal-certified)
- 2 large burger buns, halved and toasted
- Lettuce leaves
- 2 large tomato slices
- 2 red onion slices
- Pickles, sliced
- Mayonnaise, ketchup, or any other Halal-certified sauce of your choice
Instructions:
- Form Patties: Divide the beef mince into two equal portions. Shape each portion into a thick patty, slightly larger than your bun since it will shrink while cooking. Make a small indentation in the centre to help it cook evenly.
- Season: Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of each patty.
- Cook Patties: Heat a grill or frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Cook Beef Bacon: In the same pan, cook the beef bacon until crisp. Set aside.
- Cheese: Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
- Assemble the Burger: On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Add the cooked patty with melted cheese, followed by beef bacon and pickles. Spread your chosen sauces on the top half of the bun.
- Serve: Carefully place the top half of the bun on your towering creation. Serve immediately with a side of fries or onion rings.
