Halal T-Bone Steak for Two

Serves: 2

Cooking Time: 10 minutes (for medium-rare; adjust according to preference)

Ingredients: 

  • 2 Halal T-Bone steaks (approximately 450g each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.
  2. Season: Rub each steak with olive oil, then generously season both sides with salt and pepper. Press the minced garlic onto the steaks for added flavour.
  3. Preheat: Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. You want it sizzling hot to get that perfect sear.
  4. Cook: Place the steaks in the pan. For a medium-rare finish, grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side. Adjust the timing for your preferred level of doneness.
  5. Rest: After cooking, transfer the steaks to a plate and let them rest for about 5 minutes. This helps redistribute the juices throughout the meat.
  6. Serve: Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately.
